Title: DGS-1210-48 VLAN trunking?
Post by: seanlee on January 10, 2011, 02:32:19 PM
First of all, I didn't see a forum for the dgs1210-48...

Anyhow, is there a way to "share" VLANs between two physical dgs1210-48 switches?

I need hosts on VLAN-2 on switch01 to talk to hosts on VLAN-2 on switch02...

Any comments appreciated.

create vlan based port on each switch as untagged and add a tagged port (the communication port of both switches) on the vlan.

exemple : switch 1 and switch 2 are linked via port 48 on both switches.

vlan 2 : port 1-10 as untagged . port 48 as tagged on switch 1
vlan 2 :port 12-20 as untagged + port 48 as tagged on switch 2

VID of vlan on both swoitches have to be the same.

But it is not trunking, it is de same vlan.
I need conect in trunk mode between dlink and cisco, and pass 3 vlan.
How can do it? I dont find this option, only create vlan.
