A simple solution to scan and repare Hard drives on the DNS-320
« on: January 18, 2012, 09:03:49 AM »

Everything is in the title.
The scandisk of DLINK informs me of a failure, but it doesn't seem to be able to repair the drive.

i would like to know the easiest way to perform an efficient scandisk on my hard drives.

I think i have to do it by a linux command on the NAS itself
i think fsck would do it fine.

I tried to connect with telnet but it's not possible.

Do i have to install fun_plug just for telnet?

Thanks

Current firmware doesn't support remote shell access, in short, yes FFP is needed.

BTW, I don't quite trust the scandisk function, my Samsung F4 scan is fine but not my older 500GB volume.
