NAT Endpoint Filtering missing?
« on: February 08, 2015, 10:26:24 AM »

Cable Modem: Motorola SB6141
ISP / Speed Tier: Time Warner Cable / 30mb down, 5mb up
Router Model / HW Rev / FW Ver / Region: DIR-868L / A1 / 1.09b08 / US, NA

Ever since I bought this router about a year ago the NAT Endpoint Filtering section is completely missing from the Advanced>Firewall page.  I just find it a bit odd that it's pictured in the manual and on FurryNutz's review of the router, but completely absent on my router's web interface.

After some searching I have found this post http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=56164.msg217959#msg217959 explaining that NAT Endpoint Filtering is "hidden" on this particular model.  Is their any way to un-hide it to see what type of endpoint filtering is being used?

Note that I don't actually have any problems with obtaining an open NAT according to my PS3/PS4, and everything seems to be working just fine with my network.  I'm just curious as to why it's hidden when the manual clearly shows that it should be there.

Thank you

I presume it was removed for policy reasons as I confirmed with another moderator that his is missing the feature on v1.07.

If your not exhibiting any issues with NAT, then you'll be ok. I gamed on my 868L when I had it and as long as QoS was configured right and uPnP was enabled, Open NAT was attained with out any problems.
