Please fix these things in next DNS-320 firmware:

1) bug in "USB Copy Function":
- keep ORIGINAL files&folders timestamp (file creation and modification time) while copying files from USB to NAS by "USB copy button"
(now files&folders timestamp changed to current time - this is wrong - not original file creation time)

2) feature in "S.M.A.R.T. Test":
if option "Send Result By E-mail" is enabled, append new text to mail-report:
- harddrive name "Left" or "Right"
- all SMART-attributes from harddrive
- ScanStartTime, ScanEndTime, ScanTotalTime
- ScanStartTemperature, ScanEndTemperature of system and harddrive
- if result of the test is "FAIL": add list of bad block numbers

Best regards

Network Management - Dynamic DNS: the ability to set the update frequency

I think this would be pretty useful. 24 days and one hour is a very long time for those who's PPPoE reconnects frequently.

Another Network Management - LAN Setup thingy: the ability to set a second IP address (with no gateway and DNS) would be great for those who have the same network layout as I do: a Gigabit switch for LAN transfers and a regular 10/100 router for internet access. I solved it by installing Debian Squeeze and defining another IP address there, but maybe there are others that might find it useful :)

Ability to expand a RAID-1 setup (ie, expand the capacity of a mirror set by replacing a drive with another of a higher capacity, then replace the other original drive and have the ability to expand the drive.)

This would allow taking a mirrored pair of 400GB drive up to 2+TB drives, without any data loss.

I know that a lot of RAID controllers allow this sort of action, so it would definitely be on my wishlist...

RAID scaling is a feature I would certainly like to see, but unfortunately, this functionality is far more than a firmware update (requiring a substantial modification of the RAID controller).

Just wondering, if this wishlist gets sent periodically to DLINK ? It seems they do not monitor this forum. All very good suggestions. However unless Slink are being notified that all this hard work is being done. Is there any point?

D-Link is aware of this wishlist, as well as similar lists maintained for other D-Link products on this forum. I know for a fact that D-Link representatives have read this list although I am not privy to the frequency.
