just fyi, the DGL 4500 that i have does not handle 802.11n well at all, it gets locked up and bogs down significantly, if you were to run a separate router as an AP on 802.11g you would fare so much better, and have so much more up time.

Maybe something wrong in the configuration or external environment with your WiFi. The 4500 WiFi works great for me.

Hmm..  I specifically run N here (2.4GHz). I had to drop from 5GHz to allow the iPad connectivity, but it's still rocking fast!  Not as fast as 5GHz tho..

could always get yourself another 4500 and use it as an AP in 5Ghz mode like I'm using one of mine.  ;D

Tempting as it may be, I wouldn't be able to justify that purchase right now.  Purchased an iPad a little bit ago..   ;D

One of these days tho.

It was for my Fiance.  She is loving it, ROFL. I steal it every once in a while.  I'm sure I could find a cheap 4500, but I don't want to be tempted to purchase it.

One day. . .

No thank you. I will pass.  I am fond to Synology.  I have more choices of raid levels, and the OLED screen as we know is useless. Also, you can change the raid level on the fly with no data-loss..;)

Here is the one I want:  http://www.amazon.com/Synology-DiskStation-DS411J-Network-Storage/dp/B003GTYSV4/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1338426393&sr=8-9
