Title: About DIR-636L FW v1.06b01 Release
Post by: nettewurk on January 29, 2016, 10:49:54 AM
From the URL below, I found new firmware below released last December 2015

     http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/

In its release notes, the following are indicated
Problems  Resolved:       New  firmware  adopting  mydlink  service  change,  all  previous  version  will  now  incapable  of  using  mydlink   service.
Known  issue:     Router  performance  may  be  impacted  if  massive  (over  10,000)  quantity  of  media  files  existed  in  the  connected   USB  drive

1. In the problem resolved, does it mean that mydlink registration using F/W 1.05 release won't be possible?
2. In the known issue, will the files in HDD connected in USB port be deleted or USB drive connection won't be possible?

Any ideas on these?

That's D-Links main hub and differs from what we see here in the NA region. Not all regions handle FW the same way so I can't say weather or not if it applies to you where your at. MDL regions are also handle different between them so what one region does, others may not follow.

I'd make phone contact if you have this model router and see what they say. Let us know if you find out anything.
