Title: Video playback isn't working / Web UI isn't responding

Got a problem with my DCS-936L. My main issue is the video. The camera has an good signal to the router and has been on for ~20min.
Running firmware 1.05. Should I revert back to an older one? Is 1.05 bad/buggy?

Video playback:

D-ViewCam: connects, playback goes for 1 second and then disconnects.
Camera's WebUI will load the webpage but the 'Live Video' page does the same as D-ViewCam (If you're lucky) or doesn't show anything (remains a black square)
Current resolution is 640 x 352, so it SHOULD work okay, right?

Web UI:
When I click the tab's sometimes they will not load up.

What web browser are you using? Use IE 11 if possible.

Windows 10?

Have you tried another computer or mobil app (mydlink Lite)? If it works ok on another computer, there may be something on your computer running dviewcam affecting the video.

Do all other functions work in the Web UI?

Yes to IE11 and Win10.
No, never tried using anything else, will try the app and post back. Right now I took the camera offline.
As for the last question... well... sorta. Like they will work and then they will not work.

Actually, come to think of it, I wonder if it's something in the router. It does have tons of security features.

ASUS RT-AC1900P
Firmware: AsusWrt-Merlin v384.4_2

Just a note... I've got AiProtection with all the features enabled but I doubt that's it.

I would maybe start disabling some features on this router and see if you can see if anything changes.

I disabled AiProtection, that fixed some issues that I've been having on my other devices but it sorta helped with the camera.
First off... VLC still lags and freezes and when I try to connect to the camera's IP, it says it's 'not found'.
Then.. when I load the Web UI, it's now coming up instantly and the video playback is in real time with no dropouts.

I've done some testing but I seem to get more issues for the video playback when the signal is -47dBm and the Rx/Tx rate was pretty bad, around 20-30Mbps.
I moved the camera and now the signal is at -41dBm and the Tx/Rx rates are up to 72/72Mbps and it's all perfect (except for VLC dropping and freezing. I wonder if it's a decoder issue or that port is being blocked).

What other devices are online while your trying to stream with VLC?

Might try this, disable all other wifi devices. Just the camera and a wired PC to the back of the router. Do some tests with VLC.

Something either on the router or PC seems needs to be looked at.

Nothing at all. Just the two of them are online.

VLC was acting up with my old router and now my new one.
What does it mean when the 936L's video playback becomes all grey with tons of blocks and freezes, or just shows some blocks and freezes?
