Does anyone know if there's any support in the DCS-932L for secure connections (via HTTPS) for both/either footage streaming (via the stream URLs) and the admin console? I'm running the latest firmware (1.14.x) and in the release notes for all firmware updates for the device, it mentions OpenSSL updates, HTTPS day/night issues being fixed, etc. But, nowhere in the admin console on the camera itself is there any options for using HTTPS for connecting to the camera? So, does the camera support HTTPS connections? And if so, how to do enable it, etc.?

No, those just seem to be links with info on embedding feeds onto webpages. I'm looking for info on making secure connections to the camera. For example, right now, as far as I can tell, the only way to connect to the admin console is via HTTP, which means you're passing your camera's admin credentials without any encryption (which means it's be super simple for someone to gain access to your camera, depending on how you have it set up). Seems crazy to me that, in this day and age, a company like D-Link wouldn't require secure connections for administering cameras mounted in people's home.

I've always thought this was crazy, but looking through the recent firmware notes, there's a lot of mention on updates to OpenSSL and related technologies, which lead me to believe they finally enabled secure connections. But, I guess I was wrong. Still not sure what they're using OpenSSL (and related) for, though?

If your on the Local side if your router or at home, then HTTPs isn't really needed.

I presume HTTPS is enabled for remote access on the WAN side or when the camera is associated with mydlink.com.

Is there any remote access features listed in the cameras web UI under admin or networking that you can enabled remote connections and maybe there is a HTTPS server check box? I know that routers have this feature. Cameras maybe handled differently.

Type in https:// instead of http://

If you have warnings about certificate signing, you probably need to go into the f/w webpage and create one there.

No updates, really.
No HTTPS options for the end user.
Must be for mydlink.com communications (but I don't use that service at all, but assume it's for that).
