I'd like to see detailed FTP logging.  If for nothing else to trouble shoot connection issues.

1)  UPS support.
2)  Optional auto power on.
3)  Windows domain integration.
4)  Put back the scandisk & defrag.
5)  Better disk failure/error checking.
6)  S.M.A.R.T monitoring for the disks.

I thought I'd add one more to my wish list, and one more

7)  Support for external USB disks.
8)  Wake-on-LAN - this should actually be easier than #2 above

RAID1 is for disk redundancy - NOT data backup - don't confuse the two.

A few things on my list:
Ability to adjust the MTU size.
Ability to set the time the UPnP and iTunes server auto refreshes.
Better functionality with the DSM-510.
Uptime and performance statistics on status page.
Full firmware release number/date on admin pages. (same as in email alert 1.04(1.36.0110.2008))
Serve user http page(s)

Pipe dream:
sftp

Cheers!

Add to the email alert the function of emailing when a chosen "warning" temperature is reached, i.e. not just wait until the unit reaches the shut down temperature to get an email.

Thanks

1) UPS auto shutdown support

2) Options to power DND-323 back on (or leave it off) when power is restored after a power outage.

Here is my wish list

1) Ability to send email alerts through Sympatico (Secure) email service. Apparently email configuration on DNS prevents this from happening.

2) Ability to launch *.exe files from a mapped drive in Windows Vista. Current version (1.04) works for some folks and not for others. I have to execute *.exe's via the FTP service.

I was asking for a better AV UPNP and FTP Server (nice if SFTP) but now I'm just asking for a product that corrects old bugs without introducing new ones (ex print server not working at 1.4).

Print server works just fine for me - exact same settings as I had before the upgrade.

Suggestion :

1 - Fix what V1.04 broke (lost printer)
2 - Fix the Scheduler (incremental)

With SecondCopy 7, i can start incremental backup from Drive_1 to Drive_2 : it took less than 10 min to scan both Drive, and copy the material for only 10 meg of new material.
With the Incremental function on the Sceduler of the DNS-323 ... after 2 hours, these drive are still working.. It seem more a "full" backup that an incremental Backup.

Is this Scheduler really works ?

DNS-323 should have option to start, restart and stop the UPnP Server and iTunes.
