Post by: Cherukuri on August 15, 2014, 01:49:58 AM
Hi I want to change the configuration on DPH-400SE, Unfortunately user cannot remember the password, I tried Web Access unit admin / admin but even that password is also changed. Now how can I reset the phone to factory settings?

I cant even find a reset button physically on the phone

Please help

Ok I managed to find out how to reset the phone when all the passwords are lost, This might be helpful for some one

1.       Power off the phone
2.       Press # key & power On
On post mode menu dial *#168
          Then reboot

This will reset the phone to factory settings

Glad you were able to figure it out.

This information maybe in the User Manual as well.

Enjoy.  ;)

It's possible to recover password from memory dump which can be received through VxWorks debug service (17185/udp).

I presume using that process would be a security issue and is not supported. If you need to recover PW, the best process is to reset the device and set up the device from scratch and input new PWs.

Of course it's not supported, but it's work. And in several cases it's better than reset settings.
