DCS-936L - Firmware 1.06.01 released (Official KRACK release)

<< < (2/6) > >>

GreenBay42:
We've updated several units and they work without issues.

The default IP for this camera is 10.255.255.1. If you can still log into the web UI try downgrading the firmware to 1.05 and see if it restores connectivity.

Have any of you tried resetting the camera (paperclip in reset hole for 10 seconds)?

Same with my cams. Will not connect after the update, however, it appears the camera's are still working, just not in the network. My guess is the firmware is rejecting SSL connections after the KRACK fix, so it's impossible to login to the camera. Has anyone tried turning off WiFi SSL and using WPS to re-connect and downgrade the firmware? Seems this should work, and here is the prior firmware version. http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=dcs-936l

Yes, reset the camera about 8 or 9 times now and Im the same as Gary and Py below....just cant reconnect it, wont find the network/wifi ...its dead

How are we suppose to roll back....going to http://10.255.255.1 does nothing, doesn't find the camera....can it be connected to a PC and then reinstall 1.05??

Looks like there is something with the encryption. The camera is NOT bricked.

Do you have a wireless computer? If so, set the IP settings to DHCP. Connect your wireless adapter to the SSID listed on the camera label (and listed password). Your computer will pull an IP address 10.255.255.xxx. Open a browser and go to http://10.255.255.1 and log in to the camera (admin / blank) and then downgrade the firmware.

After the firmware downgrade you can set up normally using the mydlink app or through the GUI.

You can also change your router or AP's security settings to WPA2 + AES/TKIP or WPA (TKIP) and then press the WPS button on the router and then the camera. Once the LED on the camera (front) is solid green, connect to the camera normally and then downgrade the firmware. Once finished, change your security settings back.
