No Power to unit ?
« on: July 02, 2016, 06:42:51 PM »

We went on Vacation with our DCS-5020L set-up and had no trouble logging in and checking the home.  We received a weather alert of a storm at the house, then the camera wasn't connecting.  :o
Returned home and the unit appears DEAD. >:(  No power, no lights.  I changed outlets and checked those with a tester.  Sockets are good.
I tried to hold the reset button for an extended time, with not avail.
Is there anything to be done to reset the unit from the apparent power hit in the house???    Nothing else in the home was affected by the storm ~ ONLY the camera....
Thank You - M.

So you didn't use surge protection on it?  ???   hmmm...

Hard to speculate about it.  Anything is possible.

Most of my devices have a UPS on it for protection and power outages.

Check the power adapter for the camera to see if its still working an the output of the plug to the camera is still to spec.
