Can not connect to server on new version of ios Dviewcam v1.8

After updating to version 1.8, I can no longer connect to my server where I was previously able to with v1.6.1
I was connecting with exactly the same addresses, ports etc. Just tested on a second device that I thankfully didn't update, and it still connects fine.

The error message is
"Warning Message
Can't connect to server"

What iOS version are you using on the Apple device?
Try un-installing the app then re-installing it.
Ensure the configuration of the Server is correct and information has not changed.

I've tried reinstalling it but to no avail. I am positive my information is correct. :(
I am on iOS 9.1

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

I'm having the same issue after the update. No luck on uninstalling either the app or D-Viewcam on the server. :(
