Hello,
I would really like to use the email alerts for this device however, my ISP's sendmail server requires SSL which I have found out is not supported in this FW version as of yet.
Is there any work around for this that anyone knows of?
Thanks,

I tried to email the dlink tech support in asking them about SSL support in future FW upgrades for the DNS-343.
They sent back generic setup instructions to set up email alerts for the DNS-323. The menus are different so the instructions were useless anyhow. They didn't address my question at all.
I have since worked this out with a friend to find an anonymous sendmail server that I can use for this purpose and we have tested it to work.
Next issue I might have with the 343 I will post here instead of going to the online tech support.

I would recommend using Gmail. There is no workaround for SSL with your ISP email account.

ECF - the latest firmware 1.09 on the DNS323 email setup includes the ability to change the smtp port#. Unfortunately for my DNS343 v1.05beta it still doesn't include the same capability.
Both of my potential ISP SMTP providers require ports other than 25 (GoBigMedia=1025 and ATT-uVerse=465&SSL) - my DNS323 uses the GoBigMedia with the 1025 port successfully.
Based on researching gMail, they also require one of two possible port#s so...
1) when will DNS343 also allow port# selection like the DNS323?
2) when wil DNS343 allow for SSL
Appreciate any hints, tips, future direction - Ken
