DIR-655 won't talk to DIR-880L

I'm trying to extend our Wi-fi by cabling a DIR-655 router to our internet gateway router, a DIR-880L. It will not connect, and the 655's log states: "The addressing of the Internet side learnt through DHCP conflicts with addressing for the LAN side. Internet communications will be disabled until you have changed the LAN side addressing to resolve the conflict." I can get an old Westell router and a newer Netgear router to connect (DHCP) with no difficulties. Any suggestions?

GreenBay42:
Correct. Since D-Link uses 192.168.0.xxx, you will get this error. You cannot have the WAN and LAN on the same subnet.  Netgear and Westell use different subnets so it would work. If you have used the 655 before, just change the LAN IP of the 655 to a different subnet (10.1.1.xxx for example).

* What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
* Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
* What region are you located?
Try this:
Turning a router into an AP.

Any status on this?  ???

So sorry not to have replied. Changing the subnet worked. Everything working now.
