Long Passwords

Digit10101:
Just bought DIR-510L flashed to 1.06. Tried to use it whilst staying at a Guest House. Would not let me connect because their access point had a long password.

Did some testing when I got home and setup a Hotspot and confirmed it does not like long Passwords works fine with 8 characters so "Qwerty12" works but "Qwerty1234" does not.

This is "Travel Router" so needs to be able to connect to hosted Wifi. Needs fixing could you escalate it with your developers please.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Been busy with House move finally got round to logging it with DLink UK.

Have to wait for them to research the issue, in the meantime this thing is really good when utilised as a paperweight   ;D

FurryNutz:
You can use a shorter PW in meantime.  ;)
I recommend using phone support for more immediate help and information.

Good Luck.

Just to clarify I'm happy using a short password between my Laptop and the the Dlink "Travel Router". However the problem I'm experiencing is between the Dlink "Travel Router" and the Host Router i.e. Guest House, Hotel, Cafe etc

In my opinion this is a major flaw in the design of this "Travel Router" makes it useless and you pay premium price for it here in the UK.
