Occasional Lockups

(1/1)

TheAsterite:
I purchased the DWA-582 adapter today, and when it's working fine it's great. Occasionally though, the adapter stops working and can't be reset in windows. I have to restart my computer to get it working again. When I try to go to the control panel, my computer seems to just soft lock to a black screen. This only started happening when I started using the adapter. Any ideas? I'm using the drivers from the disc, and it doesn't look like there are newer drivers on the website.

I'm using Windows 7

Link>Welcome!

* What region are you located?
What Mfr and model host router are you using?
What wireless modes are you using on the main host router?

* Any other WiFi routers in the area that maybe causing interferences? Link> Use InSSIDer to find out. How many? Use v3, its free.
PC 3rd Party Security Software Configurations

* Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.
The 582 is fairly new so maybe some new drivers in the pipe somewhere down the road...

FurryNutz:
Any status on this?
