This update has crippled the local network option. It's taking minutes to find the camera, even though I have the camera set as second item in my network. Can you guys fix this, or better yet, be able to save local cameras in the local network tab.
Edit: Also after it does load, it asks you for the device password, I enter it, then the connection will time out soon after. I have confirmed my password in the browser.
Edit Edit: After deleting the app, the password issue has been resolved, but the extremely long local load times are still there.

Thanks for letting us know your results. Ya mine was updated yesterday and I didn't have to uninstall. However the long wait time for Local is there. Not sure why it's so long. It does appear though and does work on my iPhone 6P with iOS 9.2.1.

I should have noted my phone, iPhone 6 iOS 9.3.2

Thanks for the additional info. ;)

Hey, I wanted to check in on the progress of this patch? I'm hoping this can be resolved shortly, because it's causing some issues involving my security setup.
-
Still not working for you. Working for me however I'm still on iOS 9.2.1. I notice it's taking a bit longer for the app to scan for my local camera. It does eventually detect it and I can connect to it.

It does work eventually, but it's at least 1-2 minutes for it find the camera. I don't understand why it should take so long, even before the update, i feel like it should be relatively quick considering I have my camera's ip set low in the ip list. As for my feature request, it would be really nice if we could save local cameras like we can save cloud cameras.

Ya, seems a bit too long. I'll pass this along to D-link for review.
Thanks for the feed back.

Ok, D-Link is aware of this issue and is under review. I presume and hope it will be fixed in next update. Please be patient. ;)

I cant imagine why anyone would want the local view option. If you are using a dual band router its best to view on the bank other than the one your cam hooked up to so you can test the remote view feature. If you do this, you wont find yourself pissed off that your remote view is not working when you are out in the filed and cant do anything to fix things. Just doesn't make sense to care about local view IMO.
-
What does "view on the bank" and "out in the filed" mean? ??? Your post is kind of confusing. ::)
I presume the reason why Local is an option is that if the remote connections services are not available, users can still access the camera when they are on site or connected on the same network. I use the local connect all the time when I'm at home.
The issue with the local connection problem on this version of the app is known to D-Link and they are working on fixing it.

LAN scan for camera takes about 1 minute before my DCS-933L was displayed as available to view. Connected and it does view the camera feed.

I was hoping with the new update today, this issue would have been address. Sadly, it was not. I'm hopeful for another update soon. This is absolutely killing me, currently, remote usage is not an option for this set of cameras.

Do any of the cameras appear on the LAN side scan? I saw mine finally appear after 1 minute. I wonder if it might take long with the more cameras connected. I'll forward this on to D-Link for review.

I had 3 cameras set up, but I have removed / disconnected two of them thinking it may help, but sadly it did not. I reset everything to new, but still nothing. I don't know if I will hook up the other camera anytime soon, but the scan for one camera is still excessive. I know I have stated this a few times, but do you think they will entertain the idea of adding / saving a local camera? As I have stated before, I have this camera on a static IP, so saving it will not be a problem.

Does the app eventually find the camera? How long does it take before it appears in the list? ???

At least a minute, If I had to guess, maybe a minute and half. It sounds very similar to the issue you stated. But this long wait started after 3.6.5 Build 2453, before that, it was perfect fine. (Still a longer wait than what I would like, but not a minute plus.)
-
At least it finally gets results after the long scan. Ya this has been in the last couple of versions. I'll have D-Link review this again.
Thanks.

I'm checking in about this issue again, have you heard anything? I'm beginning to think this local scan delay was created intentionally....
-
It's under review with D-Link. Heard nothing on it's progress.
Don't know the intention for the long delay on the Local Scan. I'm hoping D-Link can cut that back to where it was.
For now, just use the remote scan. It works fine.

It's fixed:
