I'm having a problem with the DSM-520 displaying the wrong tracktime and bitrate. It dosen't happen on
all videos just some. When its wrong it displays just a few seconds rather than the correct time which is usually about 41:00 minutes for an hour program. The video files are stored on a DNS-323 NAS. I thought the problem might be the NAS but The same video viewed using a WD TV live displays the correct time.
Anybody seen this problem?

I have seen this before. I've always assumed that it had something to do with the way the video (HDTV) file was created. I've never believed that it was the player. I'm using the D-Link Server software on the PC.

It seems to be a problem with files that have a size of about 4,122,000KB to 4,700,000KB. These files
have the incorrect tracktime. If the file size if below or above this range it works. I also saw the problem
with a file size of 8,800,000KB. To me the problem is with files just above 4G to 4.7G and 8G to about 8.9G

Interesting analysis. I'm going check the file size next time to see if it fits your findings. Sounds like some bad calculation going on.
If you are seeing issues between 4 and 4.7 gig and it is mulitples of that then you should see and issue of files between 8 and 9.4 gig, etc.
