wont connect wifi

hi i have a dir-615 router connected to a cable modem in the living room around 15'(4m) from my desktop, the desktop runs win7 ultimate 32bit i have the router to run wpa2 the desktop shows the router as having excelent signal but is unable to connect to it, when i try to connect to it after 10sec or so, it tells me i should try to unplug the router, wait 10sec and replug it, i had many router over the year and this one is the only one i am unable to connect to, even the s***ty wbr-2310(dl-624) who is unable to sustain two connection at ounce connect right away with a good signal
