Hi!
I have a huge problem with my D-link DWA-160 USB N Wireless. I needed to reinstall the driver yesterday, because of some net issues on my computer. Right before the installation ended i got an error message about an unsigned driver.
Here is the error message which i have never gotten before...
A recently installed program tried to install an unsigned driver. This version of Windows requires all drivers to have a valid digital signature. the driver is unavailable and the program that uses this driver might not work correctly.
Uninstall the program or device that uses this driver and check the publisher''s support website to get a digitally signed driver.
Driver: Atheros Security NDIS 6.0 Filter Driver
Service: JumpStart Wireless Filter Driver
Publisher: Atheros Communications, Inc.
Location: C:\Windows\System...\jswpslwfx.sys (System32/Drivers)
Right before the install of the D-link i installed over the Intel LAN driver that followed with my MB. That didn`t change the .sys file that were the problem.
My specs on the computer are:
Nvidia GTX570
i7-2600K 3,4Ghz
Win7 64 bit... Never had a problem with beeing 64 bit.
Is this enough info or do you guys have a possible solution?. Out of the error message i think the Atheros driver is corrupted or something. I installed my driver from my D-link CD that followed with the USB-stick.

Are you using the DLink mfr driver or the Atheros driver from there web site?
I haven't seen this before using the Dlink driver from there web site.
I would un-install ALL wireless drivers and then I would try to reinstall. I would even reboot Win 7x64 using the F8 option and select Disable Driver Signature enforcement option, then install the 160 drivers again and see.

I used the D-link driver from the CD that came with it.
Have uninstalled all of my wireless driver and reinstalled with no luck also.
Do i need to disable driver signature enforcement option everytime i start up my computer then?
Should i use a driver from the Atheros site?

Try using the driver from the DLink web site first.

Strangely as it seems, the D-link driver from the website worked like a charm.
Why doesn`t the one from the CD work then? Has always worked with no errors before...

I would presume that something on your PC has chanced since using the CD lastly. Glad you got it working. Enjoy.

The last thing i did before my adapter wouldn`t connect, was going in to Safemode a single time and then restart without doing anything in Safemode :P
Windows is a weird thing.

Yes it is. Glad you got it working though. Enjoy. ;)
