Title: dcs-8000lh does not show video in mydlink app
Post by: wayneharper on December 04, 2021, 11:44:50 AM
Lately the dcs-8000lh cams only work rarely, there is no rhyme or reason. It may work then not work if I immiedately try again. Or work after not working.
I click on the cam in the mydlink app and the wait cursor will go forever and never show camera video.
It has recently updated the firmware. Other models of cam work fine

Using iOS or Android?

I know my 8000LH (with android) sometimes takes a minute to start live view. I sometimes tap back after 10 seconds and try again. Seems to kick in after 2 or3 attempts. One of the latest firmware updates was supposed to fix this. The camera is functioning (recording, scenes, etc) but for some reason the live view is buggy.

Try rebooting the camera (not reset). Then log out of the mydlink app and reboot your phone/tablet, launch the app and log in. See if that helps at all.

If you are using a Samsung phone, try turning OFF data saver.

From your home page on your phone, swipe down and tap the gear icon in upper right > Connections > Data Usage. Turn off Data Saver.
