Mydlink lite 3.0 stopped reading mp4 files
« on: May 09, 2013, 01:16:52 PM »

Installed v 3.0 on my iPad and was pleasantly surprised with the new features. I have 4 DCS-942L with the memory installed. I reformatted the SD cards, configured mp4 format, and from my iPad I could see the thumbnails of the recorded videos and even play them.

A few days later when I had plenty of mp4 videos accumulated, I noticed that I could see the file names from the lite application but there were no images in the place of the thumbnails. as such, the videos could not be played. I was able to access and play the videos from my pc web application. Is this a known bug?

Looks like a bug on both the mydlink lite and on the mydlink.com web interface when there are too many mp4 files on the sd card of the camera. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Try rename your 942L back to "DCS-942L".

Your camera's name, you can rename it at the setting page of the camera using mydlink lite

Updated latest firmware on three dcs942l cameras yesterday (2811). Update seems to fix the playback issue on android tablet and phone. Fingers crossed this was the problem. Will keep monitoring.
