ZoneMinder
« on: September 27, 2018, 05:56:48 AM »

Hi, I've a problem with ZoneMinder installed on DNS-327:
after numerous attempts to configure the cameras (DCS-942 - DCS933 - DCS935) I have deleted the ADMIN user and now I can no longer access the ZM interface.
Initially I activated the user ADMIN but then I realized that it did not allow me to add more cameras ... I deleted the user ADMIN without disabling the loggin and now no longer accepts any credentials!
I uninstalled both PERL and ZM, restarted the NAS and reinstalled everything but still asks me to login but does not accept any credentials!
Is there a solution to solve the problem?
Thank you so much to everyone

You might try a factory reset on the 327, then set up the UI and accounts. I recommend not deleting the admin account.

If I formatting the Volume_1 where the ZM are installed? So I avoid erasing all the volumes and reinstalling all the 327 ....
Many thanks

Ok, maybe installed there by default. Make sure you have access to the plug-in installer package prior to doing the reset. You should be able to re-install it after you get the DNS re-set up.

You have to delete installed folder of ZM on harddrive. Do not uninstall it via web-interface, because uninstall procedure call script with backup configs with wrong credentials(if it exist). Install procedure call script to return configs from backups(if it exist). So we have 2 ways for clean install ZM:
1) Just remove ZM folder manually using ssh: rm -r /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/Zoneminder (or what ever)
2) After uninstall ZM, remove backups manually using ssh: rm -rf /mnt/HD_a4/.systemfile/Zoneminder (or what ever)
Then just install Zoneminder with standart method - via webinterface.

Hope it helped.

Hi, I've formatted the NAS and reinstalled ZM without any problem!
Now new problem:
I added a DCS-942, the main screen shows FUNCTION and SOURCE in green but if I look at the camera I see only a red square!

Any idea? :-(
Many thanks

For D-Link IP cameras, I highly recommend using "Surveillance Station"
