Hi everybody
I just bought a second hand Dlink DSL 3782 router
The hardware is 3782 A1 like the retail one but the software is Wind Italy
is there a way to flash the retail firmware on this router so i can use it with my ISP
I tried to change
the "0" to a "2" using hex editor on a retail firmware and that didn't work for me ( posted on a thread here )
changing some values in romfile.cfg didn't work either
Thanks

Might see if you can gain access to the recovery mode to send OEM FW here:
Emergency Recovery Mode (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=44909.msg163599#msg163599)
If this fails then I presume it may not be possible.

Thanks for the idea
tried that
i get green wireless light
can't access 192.168.1.1

Probably not possible unless it's done my D-Link themselves. Not sure if they will do something like that. :-\
-
is there any other way to try to enter Emergency Recovery Mode ?
-
Not that I know of. Might contact D-Link support and ask them if there is any other method too.
-
i will probably do that
Thank you very much for your help

Hi,
I've got the same problem, did you solved it?
-
Any status on this? ???
Sure , I will keep you informed

Hi
As promised here is my feedback :
After trying every possible way to flash the retail firmware , i decided to sell it :-\
The guy who bought it had a VDSL connection
it worked straight away
So the VDSL part is not affected by the customisation made by WIND
Good luck ;)
