Title: No internet with the D-Link Wireless Range Extender N300 DAP-1320.
Post by: OrpCowboy on March 05, 2016, 03:53:54 PM
Hi everybody,

I just bought a D-Link Wireless Range Extender N300 DAP-1320.
Installation via Android app went fine.
My android phone detects the new AP.
So far so good.
But... no internet.

I live in Belgium and my provider is Proximus and the router  is a b-box 2 (some router proximus had made for them by some third party).

I understand that this is a recuring issue.

I had a look at some of the answers but I understand sh..t of what is written (I am not a technical guy).

So I would realy appreciate if someone could just list me the top three most common solutions and I'll start from there (e.g. go to the web interface of your modem an make sure these settings are disabled/enabled, etc etc).

Thank you very much for your help.

Its 1AM here and I'm going inn.

Cheers,
OC

What wireless modes are you using on the main host router?

Did you power cycle both ISP modem and DAP then test?
How far away is the DAP from the main host router?
Is the DAP running in extender mode or AP mode?

I want to thank you for your prompt reply.
But since I'm not a techie I will take some time to figure this all out.
Can't put myself to it right know but I'll come back to it.

Thanks again and have a Nice WE,

OC
