DAP-2360 in WDS with AP mode
« on: April 05, 2017, 05:29:31 AM »

Problems to connect in AP with WDS mode.
My need is to extend my network outdoor. Have earlier had a well funktioning system with D-Link dwl3200 AP but these two are now broken.
Bought two new DAP-2360, want the same funktion, they have the same same HW rev B02 and updated FW ver to 2.10
Both are configured thru LAN port connected to LAN
Both have a static IP
Tried to configure the one who should be left in the LAN with cable as an AP only. Mounted antenna at the chimney.
Configured the other who should be outdoor 50 m away outdoor as an AP with WDS.
Both have the same Channel 11 and all the same passwords
They have different SSID:s
They have the same passwordphrase, WPA2 and can not get them working in WDS with AP.

Both working ok in connected to LAN and connect as AP mode.
When the one placed outdoor loses the LAN it loses the Internetconnection but i am still connected to it.
Previsously products worked perfectly in this way and connected correctly.

In "desperation" tried different configurations, both configured as AP with WDS, even switced so the one outdoor as an AP and the indoor as AP with WDS.
I had the exact same configuration with earlier two DWL-3200 AP
Bought these two new ones and hoped it would work but not.
Anyone who ca tip me why or how to config?

The differense from earlier years is the new Fibre internet connection with a new router in the LAN.
Can the problem be in ISP router? Not allowing this kind of service?
I wonder if there is any services in this one who may interrupt this communication with the new AP:s? I have difficicult to belive this?!

Anyone who have a tip in configuring this example?

Should both be configured as AP with WDS or only the one outddor?
Anyone anytip?

Best regards from Sweden!

I'd review the users manual in regards to setting up the DAPs.

I presume WDS mode and wireless bridge and your attempting to wirelessly connect the out door DAP to the wired LAN DAP in AP mode?
