I have been updating my DIR-655 with the recent wave of firmware versions. Currently running the latest version, which I downloaded from the D-Link FTP site.

However I still have some serious problems...

After a few days, pages started to load slowly all of a sudden, after that images and website layout are gone (and only text is displayed) and after that I get 404's...

I already tried 30/30/30 (clearing nvram) several times, redid all my settings manually, disabled QOS and stuff... The only thing that remains for me to do, is disable to DNS relay, but I really do not want to do that, cause I will have to make adjustments to every PC connected to the router, right?

I use openDNS as nameservers...

One and more thing; I am not sure, but I didn't have these problems with firmware 1.21 or something. But I am not to sure, since it has been a while ago...

//edit

I have a DIR-655 with Hardware Version: A2

Have you tried taking the router out of the equation to see if maybe there is an issue with your Internet connection itself?

It has to be either the firmware or the router wireless card. I have the same issue. Yes if you use another brand for wireless G access point or another brand for wireless N access point thus shutting down wireless on A3 then the problem goes away. I can connect to my ISP business site wired but not wireless. It use to work but after 1.22B05 after 1 month it has blocked ISP to and from my wireless laptop. So I had tried two wireless access points and they connect just fine. I've re-flashed to 1.30NA and it still does it.. Though the connection is stronger.. by 10% All 80% is now 90%...

no connect (other sites will connect) Note wired connection will connect through this router.

connect (will connect) AP mode for N

Like stated in my first post, I use DNS relay, cause I have several computers hooked up onto the router.
Also stated; I didn't have any of these problems with firmware 1.21

The problems occur on my wired connection, dunno about the wireless though, but since I work wired, it has / is a problem for me.

I was very happy at first with this router when I bought it (almost a year ago), but now I am having second thoughts.

Wired works, just wireless has issues.. Firmware glitch.. Can't use 40Hz for some reason it won't work. Auto/20/40Hz shows the router up.

Your NIC needs to support 40Hz and most NICs don't
